Welcome to GNAAS Trading Company Ltd

Our business was established by the Great North Air Ambulance Service and is committed to giving 100 per cent of its profits to the charity. We have grown to become the charity’s biggest single donor.

Recycling is our passion. We collect unwanted goods from Berwick in the North, to York in the South, from Whitby in the East to Whitehaven in the West. Our fleet of vehicles is 23 strong, staffed by 54 employees, and based at our two sites at Newton Aycliffe Business Park in County Durham and Skirsgill Business Park in Penrith, Cumbria.

While door to door clothing collections are the main source of our income, we also collect recyclable materials from businesses. Collections include card, paper, plastics, mobile phones and used ink/ toner cartridges. We also run a paper shredding service and have recently opened a discount shop at our Newton Aycliffe site which sells high street goods at up to half price.

Discount Shop

GNAAS Trading Co Ltd have a discount store which is open to the general public offering huge savings on a wide range of products from baby & nursery items to household goods and toys. These savings are up to 50% less than retail prices. Stock is changed regularly so it is worth looking at our web site or calling Clare Crabtree on 07584232299.

The shop is situated at Unit 21 Northfield Way, Newton Aycliffe and is open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm and Saturdays 9.00am until 1pm. Excluding Bank Holidays.

Discount Shop Stock

The stock in the Discount Shop changes on a regular basis.

Most of our stock is NEW although some stock is ex-high street customer returns which are sorted, graded & priced accordingly.

We currently have available 24 inch boys bikes and 14 & 16 inch girls bikes. We also have a small range of boys and girls scooters.

We have a various range of sofas available. Some are brand new and some are customer returns but are graded and priced accordingly.

We have a variety of reclining sofas and chairs, and also corner groups and massage chairs.

Our sofa stock changes on a weekly basis.

We have a varied range of wooden dining tables with leather or wood chairs. We also have a selection of other furniture which changes regularly.

We now have a small range of rugs which we are looking to expand.
